Marcel Malbranque creates his company in 1949 in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais houillières, to which he was supplying high pressure valves.

Born of the merger of SERGOT and SEGUIN, to meet the market requirements then (Nuclear).

Orientations on the cryogenics market

Study and development of the first cryogenic valves on the demonstrator LNG carrier « Le Beauvais » then on the 1st LNG carrier in commercial operation in France « Pythagore ».

The Schlumberger era

The Sereg Schlumberger group through its subsidiaries (The Compagnie des Compteurs and Malbranque) acquires majority stakes in the SERSEG company in Ruffec.

Birth of SNRI

Sereg Schlumberger transfers the business linked to its so called « Industrial Valves Department » activity to the S.N.R.I. Former turns into the “Société Nouvelle de Robinetterie Industrielle” headed by Mr Flambry – 177 employees.

1988

Conquest of new markets

SNRI turns to export with the aim to increase the turnover part from 15% to 25%. First successes: USSR (Chemical and petrochemical sector), Egypt (valves for the construction of the Suez 3 thermal power plant), China (valves for thermal power plants).

« La maîtrise des éléments »

SNRI works « La maitrise des éléments » becomes the industrial valves world reference manual - 1600 pages.

1990

Birth of SNRI Services

SNRI expands its activity by creating a subsidiary dedicated to the provision: « SNRI SERVICES » (advice and assistance for production units’ start-up, online devices expertise, retrofit, control and maintenance of equipment on site, training).

2000-2009

From Technor to Valco

In 2000, SNRI (and its subsidiary SNRI Services) are integrated in the Norwegian group Technor (owned by the Hitech Vision investment funds), to serve the European market in the cryogenics, energy, offshore oil and gas, petrochemicals sectors.
Technor acquires Malbranque in 2003, which purchases itself the Westad Norwegian company in 2008.
The four companies form Valco, the Technor group valves’ department.

2010

The Malbranque activity is transferred
from Illies to Ruffec (SNRI)

SNRI enlarges its range with the products of the Malbranque historic brand on the petrochemicals, energy, gas and Offshore cryogenics applications and integrates the product lines in its offer.

Hitech Vision resells the VALCO group (SNRI, VVS, MALBRANQUE)
to ARGOS SODITIC

Willing to constitute the 1st French valves manufacturer group, Guichon Valves (Customized Industrial valves manufacturer in Chambéry) extends the group in 2015.

Quality of life at work program

SNRI starts a QWL program with the objective of improving the working conditions while maintaining the company performances, with a participative approach of the employees (prevention, training, protection, communication on safety issues).

2017

SNRI invests

The company acquires 2 bunkers (investment up to 350K €) to perform gas and cryogenic « high pressure » tests with a remote-control station.

New identity for SNRI
and the VALCO group 

the purpose « create a spirit of belonging shared between the different brands of the group, express our dynamism and who we are: experts in industrial valves solutions with a know-how recognized for over 90 years for some of our entities and with a worldwide presence ».

Transverse commercial strategy
